Born in New York, raised in Texas, Susane graduated from Duke University with a BS in Psychology, minor in Theatre. A summer drama program in London and an apprenticeship at the renown Williamstown Theatre Festival both solidified her decision to pursue acting whole-heartedly.
She moved to Los Angeles and booked her first theatrical role of Kyon recurring on Gilmore Girls. Onstage she has performed as Janet in Kim’s Convenience at The Laguna Playhouse, Medieval Journey at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, What’s Wrong With Angry? at Celebration Theater, and in LA’s premiere of 4000 Miles at the Sierra Madre Playhouse.
TV/Film highlights include working on shows such as Madam Secretary, Grey’s Anatomy, Rizzoli & Isles, Snowfall, and The Soloist (opposite Jamie Foxx).
susaneLand, a dark comedic series she co-created and co-wrote with her partner Andrew Olsen, had its world premiere at Sundance and went on to win Best Short-Form Comedy at the New York TV Fest, Best Short Comedy at ITVFest, and Best Actress at Cinema Jove (Spain).
