Soooooo thrilled to have been a part of What's Wrong With Angry? which was so fantastically directed by Michael Matthews! We have picked up 2 nominations for the LA WEEKLY AWARDS!!! One for BEST ENSEMBLE (Melinda Augustina, Rick Cosnett, Kevin Fabian, Todd Gaebe, Matthew Henerson, Miles Heymann, AJ Jones, Susane Lee, Kelly Schumann, and Daniel Taylor) and the other for BEST FEMALE COMEDY PERFORMANCE (Kelly Schumann!!!) Written by Patrick Wilde and directed by Michael Matthews, the play features Melinda Augustina, Rick Cosnett, Kevin Fabian, Todd Gaebe, Matthew Henerson, Miles Heymann, AJ Jones, Susane Lee, Kelly Schumann, and Daniel Taylor! What's Wrong With Angry? was written at a time in British history when the age of consent for homosexuals was 5 years older than heterosexuals. Legislation called Section 28 prohibited schools and local authorities from depicting homosexual relationships as an acceptable view of family life. While school was a setting for romance with Mr. Popular, John Westhead - girls want him...guys want to be him, Steven spent his life at home telling his parents what they wanted to hear. His fortunes take an unexpected turn when he discovers that his feelings for John are reciprocated; however what's one to do when your family, school, and country tell you your love isn't acceptable? In order to discover "it gets better", sometimes you gotta get ANGRY!"

And of course Sumer over at JLA Talent who was able to reschedule my callback time and because of that I ended up going in solo for a different role, the Hero Cheerleader role instead...which I ended up booking! ROCK ON!!!! How crazy that it all worked out that way!!! LOVE IT!!! GO TEAM GO!!!!! XOXOX!!!! :D

The 2011 ITV Festival Awards show took place on Friday, August 12th at the Hotel Renaissance in Hollywood! It was such an honor to be nominated for Best Actress for Comedy for Kosher Pig! Eric T. Patton, nominated for Best Director for Kosher Pig, and I await alongside Marilyn Monroe hahaha to speak to the press! I even donned a dress for the special occasion! Only when pigs fly right?! And Kosher Pig is flyin' high! This red carpet event was quite an experience! Got a taste of what it's like havin' cams everywhere! Here we are sitting at the Knight Rider table with Moon Cho, the creator of Kosher Pig! Although we didn't take home any awards that night, it was a memorable evening! Congrats to all the nominees and winners!!! Much love and thanks to the ITV Festival for screening Kosher Pig!!! XOXOX!!!

AWESOME NEWS! Kosher Pig is set to screen at the ITV Fest August 8th and has picked up two nominations as well! One for BEST DIRECTOR (Go Eric Patton!!!) and one for BEST ACTRESS in Comedy (who me?!) WELL COLOR ME HAPPY!!! THANK YOU!!! :*) So excited that Kosher Pig is continuing to take the festival circuit by storm! Keep flyin' high Kosher Piggy!!! FLY FLY FLY!!!!!! X♥X♥X!!!

Everything, Almost Wraps!!!

WE DID IT!!! Our heartbreaking short film Everything, Almost is officially wrapped! This was my first time producing and oh what FUN!!! A huge THANK YOU to the cast and crew for such an AWESOME shoot and to all of YOU who have supported us on this incredible journey!!! Day 1 found us battling freezing temperatures and biting winds up on the high bluff but we endured and captured amazing shots!!! Day 2 found us in better conditions down on the beach where we worked like crazy and laughed ourselves silly! Our song of the day was Jack Sparrow featuring Michael Bolton! Thank you to The Lonely Island for such an inspiring song which provided endless merriment to our cast and crew...I refuse to admit how many times this song was played! ;) The shots were GORGEOUS thanks to our amazing director Alex O. Gaynor whose work is just breathtakingly oh so beautiful! The performances by our lead actors Jeannie Bolét and Brahm Gallagher were outstanding! Truly a joy to watch!!! A massive thank you to our small but mighty crew Jeremy Rush and Adam Douglass who walked countless miles and braved the elements...including a "bag of ticks"! (A brave soul you are Jeremy!) And last but not least...THANK YOU to all our Kickstarter supporters and our dear friends and family who have showered us with love and support along the way! We could not have done it without you!!! With a lot of heart and a lot of hard work, the Everything, Almost team has captured something truly special!!! We can not wait to share it with you all!!! Updates on post production soon to follow!
